The waxing of a physics teacher & filmmaker. I'll try to put in a mix of recent interesting science stuff, quick movie reviews, loose political ramblings and observations from my existence at NYU's grad film school (once as a student, now as a teacher). One of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Filmmakers of Independent Film. My last film won the Best Short Film Award at the 2011 TIFF and the Canadian Academy Awards. http://www.doubleswithslightpepper.com

Trini to the Bomb?!
There has been so much talk about the plot hatched by some Trinidadians and Guyanese to blow up JFK, and some would have you believe, most of Brooklyn.
However, the Times had a nice article that brings the hype into perspective: the so-called terrorists were nothing more than big talkers (very trini!) and very little action (even more trini!). Pointing out fauxs such as "surveillance" photos to be nothing more than Google Map/Sat images.
I'm not saying that these people shouldn't have gotten in trouble, but does a half-baked/assed implausible (from all sources) terrorist plot deserve all of this news as if they caught them red handed?
To quote Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line: They want you dead, or in their lie.
