The waxing of a physics teacher & filmmaker. I'll try to put in a mix of recent interesting science stuff, quick movie reviews, loose political ramblings and observations from my existence at NYU's grad film school (once as a student, now as a teacher). One of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Filmmakers of Independent Film. My last film won the Best Short Film Award at the 2011 TIFF and the Canadian Academy Awards. http://www.doubleswithslightpepper.com

The First Entry: Take a seat, this could take a while.
My goal for this blog is to explore, as the name suggests, the two things that I am interested in: physics (or science in general) and film. What to expect: current physics/science and movie stuff.
Although no longer a physicist, I'm trying very hard to keep up with recent developments. In my current vocation (grad film student at NYU), I make movies. When I'm not making them, I'm watching them. So expect ramblings on that. Anything's fair game though.

I'm not all that well acquainted with the visual arts. Does "grad film student at NYU" equate to "future amateur pornographer?"
Your powers of deduction are second to none. Tell your mom that I'll be casting soon.
